  • Learn the fundamentals of Wisdom Healing Qigong. Learn how and when to do the movement, meditation, and visualization for the greatest benefit. Denise shares the teachings she discovered for her recovery from breast cancer.

  • Explore related mindful teachings to release stress, sleep better, bring vibrancy to our immune system. Denise shares wellness teachings, such as tapping and sound healing with her students.

  • Waking Up Qigong is easy to do at home, at work, in nature, and travelling the world. The Waking Up tools you will learn, you can do anywhere over a lifetime. You do not need special clothes, floor mats, or equipment.

    Denise supports you with a daily weekday class and an archive of 1-hour Qigong classes to practice when the time is right for you.

  • Learn to get fit even through chronic illness or limitations. Denise guides students how to do Qigong teachings laying down, sitting up and/or standing. She relied on these teachings to be more resilient through her breast cancer treatment.

  • This class features two ways to get healthy: 1) online live and/or 2) watching the recorded class posted in the Video Library. Daily practice is the key. Every class you simply follow along with Denise on video. She hosts Qi Chat on Fridays, right after class ends, inside our secure classroom. Bring your questions and Qigong insights to share with our community for a weekly check-in.

  • Each class focuses on connecting the mind to the body and emotional wellness to restore balance. The gentle movement wakes up the nervous system, the organs, and strengthens posture & movement.

Meet Denise Minter

Denise Minter founded Waking Up Energy to share her training and experience to help others. Aging, illness and injury can be overwhelming, so she wants a dedicated Qigong practice to be much more easy, fun and helpful. She brings years of training and experience to her online classroom:

  • Denise has taught at Qigong retreats, workshops and classes globally. A continual explorer and researcher of wellness tools, she curates these tools in her teachings to benefit her students. She helped launch and manage the first Qigong Teacher training certification program for The Chi Center.

  • Denise attributes Qigong for her own survival of body, mind and heart through breast cancer treatment. She never misses her daily practice to wake up balance for work, to be a mom, a world citizen and to maintain a healthy immune system.

  • When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, more than 20 years ago, I studied gentle, mindful teachings with renowned teachers and three Qigong Masters to support my healing journey.

    In Qigong, the role of regular, daily practice is the key to wellness. It is a daily practice of aligning and flowing energy to connect with the mind, body, and heart through movement, meditation, and visualization.
