Our Waking Up Class focuses on the spine, as we visualize our bones, using our minds to connect with the cells deep within our body. All of the organs and the systems of the body benefit from these Qigong forms. Getting still to feel the energy waking up. And moving slowly to make friends with your bones, and your tendons, and your nerve endings. Grounding. Relaxing. Coming back to the body, again and again, day after day.
The secret of Qigong is repetition, continuous practice with dedication and commitment. The internet is no impediment for learning. In fact, technology aids these ancient self-healing techniques, making them available to a global community.

Moving with awareness. Embodied Awareness, which is the most succinct definition of Wisdom Healing Qigong I can offer. Roughly translated into English
Qi = Life Force or Energy
Gong = Work or Job, to be repeated
Zhineng = Wisdom Healing

The secret of Qigong is to practice, practice, practice.
And to be relaxed while practicing.
Qigong has countless forms, and these ancient but no-longer-secret practices are rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Where the mind goes, the Qi flows.
Our Morning Community Practice uses Zhineng Qigong forms, from the Body/Mind Method created by Dr. Pang Meng, in the 1980’s in China. I learned and studied these Qigong forms with Master Mingtong Gu, who learned them directly from Dr. Pang Ming, a Grand Master who created Zhineng Qigong, and directed the Medicine-Less Hospital in China, where Qigong was the only medicine used as the treatment for all ailments.
Qigong uses a combination of gentle movements, stillness, and creative visualization, to bring our mind’s focus deep into our own body. Our live, weekday, one-hour Morning Community Practice opens with a meditation to connect with breath and body, and smile into your heart.
Morning Community Practice Schedule
We begin by clicking onto our classroom link using your mobile device, tablet, or computer.
We start with an opening meditation to embody awareness. After concluding the Opening Meditation, we spend the rest of the hour focused on the spine as the key to Waking Up Energy. Qigong allows you to send a good message to your brain. With each breath. With mindfulness. With relaxation, with loving-kindness. Once you taste the Qi, it becomes available to you, in infinite quantities.
Visualizing yourself in the center of an ocean of energy, and ocean of light, in order to draw infinite healing Qi into every cell of your Being. What is an ocean of light? Think LOVE. A big ocean of love. Expanding and gathering Energy, opening and releasing any stuck or stagnant energy, while pulling Qi into your body to ground and relax yourself.
Our intention with Qigong is to make friends with this body, from the top of the head to the tips of the toes, and all the bones and nerve endings in-between. We accept our body, acknowledge and embrace all sensations and feelings. Self-care. Relaxation.
